The homes range from one million dollars to ten million, depending on the size of both home and lot. Most homes feature luxurious pools, heated spas and sundecks to unwind after a long day of riding. The year round mild temperatures of South Florida are an automatic draw for riders and non-riders alike. This location is within a hacking distance of the Winter Equestrian Festival, the world-known International Horse Show.  It is also close to the International Polo Club.  You can see the best in the world competing in jumping or dressage on Saturday nights from January through March in the international ring at the showgrounds.  It is a lively atmosphere with small shops and food and drink vendors throughout.

Although you are nestled in a peaceful country atmosphere, you are close to all other cultural and sports activities that are offered throughout Palm Beach County.  The Cruzan Ampitheatre and the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts offer top name entertainment.  There are hundreds of private and public golf courses, parks and fishing, and beaches with every type of water sport imaginable.  Palm Beach International Airport is only a 15 minute drive from Wellington.  The schools servicing Saddle Trail Park are New Horizons Elementary, Wellington Landings Middle and Wellington Community High. Welcome to Wellington, FL

Wellington was a Planned Unit Development before it incorporated into a town.  It was divided into subdivisions by lot size and use.  It is different from most other Florida Towns as individuals purchased their lots and used any builder they chose for their home construction.  It was not a cookie-cutter community.  Most areas build out by large developers who gave buyers 10 or so models to choose from.

Wellington became known as one of the best family communities in the state of Florida.  subsequently it also became the equestrian capital of the world in the winter.  the equestrian subdivisions give the overall community much less density.  Traffic is non-existent.

I will review several subdivisions so you can understand the diversity of the community.

Wellington Home Owners Visit Panther Ridge

Go to Panther Ridge near a Wellington home. There is a very unique facility available for visits from Wellington home owners along with their friends and family. Panther Ridge is a non-profit haven for big cats from all over the world, many of which are endangered. Judy Berens founded Panther Ridge in 1999 to provide a place for these animals to live in a safe and healthy environment. Most of the big cats have been rescued from bad situations where they had been abused or neglected. This facility has some of the finest habitats for the big cats. Enclosures provide a native like experience with a large area to explore and roam as well as protection, stimulation, and top quality veterinary care.

In addition to the big cats, Wellington property owners will enjoy watching for barn cats roaming the property as well as many horses. In addition to being a permanent home to these beautiful creatures, Panther Ridge serves as an education and research facility. School groups visit the facility often and Panther Ridge works closely with other conservation groups to exchange information and work toward goals of saving these majestic cats. Enjoy an afternoon away from your Wellington home gazing at cougars, cheetahs, caracals, jaguars, ocelots, servals, and clouded leopards.
